Challenger claims to know of a lost plateau in the Amazonian rain forest where dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals still roam, although his evidence is flimsy. Seeking a dangerous assignment from his editor, he is sent to interview the infamous, hot-tempered Professor Challenger. Gladys however won't marry Malone unless he does something brave and heroic. Nevertheless I believe in being thorough.Įd Malone is a London reporter who pines for the wealthy Gladys Hungerton. What Doyle is slightly less known for however is his seminal lost world adventure novel called, well, 'The Lost World.' The story is so familiar that to recap it is almost an exercise in futility.
